Highly experienced reliability and maintenance professional with more than four decades of career spanning original equipment manufacturing (OEM), fertilizers & chemicals manufacturing, petroleum / refinery, petrochemicals in domain areas of Facility Integrity Assurance Management , Projects and Turnarounds Management, Revamp/ Overhaul, Commissioning and Troubleshooting of Turbo-Machinery, Industrial Training and Competency Development .

He is a former Senior Vice President and Head of Engineering and Maintenance at multiple sites within the network of Reliance Industries Ltd. (RIL). During his 23 years tenure, he held various senior leadership positions across multiple refinery and petrochemicals sites where he introduced and implemented Asset Performance Management (APM) strategies that resulted not only in significant reduction in production downtime but in also ensuring safe and reliable operations. Prior to RIL, he was with Chambal Fertilizers & Chemicals Ltd., as Head of Central Maintenance and Engineering. He had worked with Bharat Pumps and Compressors Ltd. (A Government of India Enterprise), for 16 years, where he developed his Turbo-machinery expertise implementing solutions at several leading players in the energy, oil and gas sector including GAIL, ONGC, IOCL, IPCL .

His specialty is in introducing world class lean practices, developing ultra-high reliable enterprise asset management systems and instilling precision maintenance skills and competencies at large capital equipment intensive companies, to continuously improve plant uptime.

Being a passionate trainer and leader he has initiated and trained many executives developing them to lead safe, reliable and compliant lean operations in process plants. Earlier in his career, he was a Lecturer in Mechanical Enginnering at National Institute of Technology (NIT) Allahabad. Even while in the industry, he continued to share his practical knowledge through several technical blogs on Maintenance Engineering Tips that are sought after by maintenance and reliability professionals worldwide. He has also been a key speaker at many national and international workshops / seminars / conferences in the Energy and Oil & Gas sector. His professional qualifications include B.E. (Hons.) in Mechanical, M.E. in Process Equipments and degrees in Advanced Management.
